Do you find yourself avoiding wearing singlets and short-sleeve tops because you don't like the way the skin under your arms wobbles? SheKnows has the solution on how to say goodbye to flab and hello to fab.

We talked to body transformation specialist and virtual personal trainer, Mark Woodgate. He's been in the health and fitness industry for almost two decades and in that time he has personally helped transform over 1,000 bodies. For the first time ever, we are letting you in on Mark's tried and tested secrets for getting rid of unsightly arm flab.

Choose exercises to target your whole body.

One mistake people commonly make is to think if they go hard-targeting the problem area of their body — whether it's the muffin top that spills over the top of your jeans or your wobbly arm fat — that target-specific exercises will fix it. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all you had to do to acquire a much sought-after six-pack was just ab crunches? It's important to choose exercises which work out the entire body. We're talking about those exercises you love to hate like lunges, squats, press ups, and rows.

Make sure you're wearing the correct bra for exercising >> Think about what you put in your mouth. Believe it or not, getting rid of your batwings requires good nutrition. Put down that Big Mac, girl! Just because you have some extra Weight Watchers points left over this week doesn't give you the thumbs up to eat highly processed foods and refined carbs. You can be doing everything right at the gym, but if you're not following through in the kitchen, you won't see the results you want. Mark Woodgate's top healthy eating tips for sexy, toned arms are:
  • Reduce alcohol consumption.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Avoid processed foods. If it comes in a packet or a can, bin it.
  • Limit refined carbohydrates, basically anything which causes rapid changes in blood sugar levels, like lollies, cookies, pastries, bread, pasta.
You need to do weight training and..... Stop freaking out, weight training won't turn you into the next Mr. Universe lookalike. It helps sculpt and tone muscles which simply won't happen if you're just running on the treadmill or walking. The good thing is you don't have to belong to a gym or purchase a fancy home gym to work out with weights. A few basic pieces of equipment at home and you're on the way to being super sexy and toned.

Fitness Gym Ball about 55 or 65 centimeters in size. If you don't already have one, you can pick them up from Rebel Sport for around $65.  Dumbbells weighing between 2 and 6 kilograms. Start off light and if it's too easy, increase your weight.  An optional extra, but not necessary, is a medicine ball. These retail at around $89.

There are a variety of exercises you can do. To check out comprehensive instructions on how to complete these exercises properly and safely, check out Mark's detailed exercise instructions with animations.
